Good Book, Bad Teacher!

So one day I was contemplating what to read next and as I browsed my bookshelves I saw some books from high school that escaped my attention.  Now by escaped my attention I clearly mean one of the following happened: 1. I skimmed it enough to pass the test 2. I read the cliff notes and bluffed my way through 3. I read it but then had a miserable in class experience that has caused me to block all memory of the book itself and have flashbacks of awkward teenagers acting out the balcony scene from Romeo and Juliet in front of class of people that were outwardly mocking them.  So that being said let us not blame the books for our education system forcing them on us.  Take a look back at some books that are worth your time to read at your own pace, with no need to write a book report or think of a clever rap that could summarize it (yes that actually was one option for an assignment ugggh).
